Because we could all use a little more laughter in our lives, it’s time to head to the Big Apple for the New York Comedy Festival, kicking off November 6 for five days of laugh-out-load hilarity. It all beings with two not-to-be-missed events: Stand Up For Heroes (with headliners like Jerry Seinfeld, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Stewart) at the Theater at Madison Square Garden and a special performance by comedian-of-the-moment (and fellow New Yorker) Hannibal Buress, winner of Comedy Central’s coveted “Best Club Comic” award. Catch him at the NYU Skirball Center. From stand-up to storytelling, improv to musical comedy, the laugh-fest fest takes place at venues across the city, including a few near our Times Square hotel front door, draws together some of the funniest folks in comedy.
